Note to Self

Just because the kids use Sharpies at school all the time without incident does NOT mean they can be trusted alone for two minutes in the backyard with a project requiring the use of said Sharpies.

Sharpies are hard to get off skin. And will just fade to a fainter racing stripe look on legs, even after scrubbing and soaking in a bubble bath for over an hour.

Also, Sharpies are very hard to get off grungy toenails, and will make the toenail look as if it is going to fall off soon.

(Note to blog readers- There will be no pictures of this, as we don't want to draw any more attention to it with the kids. But if you look closely at any pictures in the next few days of a certain little boy, you might see racing stripes. Don't be alarmed.)

Ahh, yes, Sharpies. Skin art. I won't be alarmed at upcoming pictures (tee hee). Love, Mannah

try using rubbing alcohol.

Rubbing alcohol didn't work. Soaking in a bubbly tub for an hour took about half of it off. Then, pouring more soap directly on the marks and rubbing with a washcloth took off even more (and used up a LOT of soap!). In the end, swimming the next day got rid of the rest. But Sharpies will not be brought out again for a long, long while!
