Every year that Alex can remember, we've had an Easter Tree in the front yard. It's always the same dogwood that gets to be the Easter Tree, because it's just the right size. The eggs are ones the Easter Bunny left in previous years, tied onto a ribbon. The tree gets decorated so that the Easter Bunny will know to stop by here.
Alex told Nick all about the Easter Bunny. How he stops and gives them baskets full of fun stuff and candy. How he leaves footprints on the driveway. How he gets a carrot to snack on. How he uses magic to get into the house.
