It was a beautiful day. We decided to pretend it was spring and go for a beach picnic. The kids found a log to see saw on.
When the weather cooperates, it doesn't get much more beautiful than this.
Especially in February!
The kids found a log fort to climb in.
And they finally let me take their pictures without making faces.
Almost.
As the day wore on a bit, the wind picked up and reminded us it still is technically winter here. The kids decided we needed a beach fire, so they made one.
I think even the park rangers won't get upset with this beach fire, although, it wasn't very warm.
A cool log I found.
The kids thought this stick needed to be up the beach.
A quick walk down to the water, to throw some rocks into the ocean.
And thus ends another beach picnic.
