Nicholas, pulling at his shirt- Off. Nicky off.
Me- Do you want your shirt off?
Nicholas- Ya. Off.
Me- We have to unsnap it first because it's a onesie.
Nicholas- Ok.
Me, unsnapping his onesie, then pulling his pants back up- Here you go. Now your shirt is off.
Nicholas, smiling- Off!
Nicholas, pulling at his pants- Off. Nicky off.
Me- Do you want your pants off, too?
Nicholas- Ya. Off. Off. Peas. (Please)
Me, smiling- Ok. Let's take your pants off then.
Nicholas, pointing- Shoes. Off.
Me- Oh, you are still wearing your shoes! Let's take those off first, then your pants.
Nicholas- Ok. Off!
We took off his shoes and pants.
Nicholas, patting his belly- Off! Nicky off!
Me- Yes, you took off your clothes! You are almost naked!
Nicholas, patting his diaper and questioning- Nicky off?
Me- No, sweetie. Your diaper gets to stay on.
Nicholas- Ok.
He crawled around for a bit with just his diaper and socks on. Then, you guessed it:
Nicholas, pulling at socks- Nicky, off.He is a silly, silly boy. And I think he will be even happier when summer gets here and it's warm enough to run round almost naked all the time!
Me- Ok, Nicky, you can take off your socks.
Nicholas- Yay!
He also got a two and a half hour nap in today, and I think it helped him start to feel a LOT better. That's based on how much climbing and playing and silliness he's currently full of.

Germs...Nicky off! If it were only that easy to rid his system of the icky germs that have yet to head to Topeka. Glad he's feeling better and very glad he avoided the croup! I send my love. -Mannah
Awe it's so wonderful when they start understanding these concepts. He's such a smart little boy. What a fun conversation you had. :)
